Refund Policy

This Refund Policy governs subscription payments processed for Afritivity platform memberships and transactions conducted between Customers and independent Vendors on the Afritivity platform.

By subscribing to a plan or making a purchase on Afritivity, you agree to this policy.


1. Membership Subscription Refund Policy

(Subscriptions Processed by FastSpring – Merchant of Record)

Afritivity uses FastSpring as its Merchant of Record for subscription billing. This means:

  • FastSpring processes payments on behalf of Afritivity.
  • FastSpring manages tax collection (VAT, GST, sales tax).
  • Billing descriptors may reflect FastSpring.
  • Refunds for subscriptions are processed through FastSpring in accordance with this policy.

Afritivity offers the following membership plans:

  • Silver Plan (Free)
  • Gold Plan (14-Day Free Trial, then paid subscription)
  • Platinum Plan (Paid subscription)

1.1 Silver Plan (Free)

The Silver Plan is free of charge.
No payment is collected; therefore, no refund applies.


1.2 Gold Plan (14-Day Free Trial)

The Gold Plan includes a 14-day free trial.

  • No charges apply during the trial period.
  • You must cancel before the trial ends to avoid billing.
  • If not cancelled, FastSpring will automatically process payment for the first billing cycle.

Refund Terms (Gold Plan)

  • If the free trial has been used, no refund will be issued once the first paid billing cycle begins.
  • No refunds are issued for partial months.
  • No refunds are issued after the first full month of paid membership has been completed.
  • Failure to cancel before renewal does not entitle you to a refund.

1.3 Platinum Plan (Paid Subscription)

The Platinum Plan is billed monthly via FastSpring.

If a free trial is included and used:

  • No refunds are available once the first paid billing cycle begins.

If no free trial applies:

  • Cancellation must occur before the next billing date.
  • No refunds are issued for partial months.
  • No refunds are issued after the first full month of paid membership has been completed.

1.4 FastSpring Processing & Authority

As Merchant of Record, FastSpring:

  • Has the authority to process payments and approved refunds.
  • May review refund requests to prevent fraud or abuse.
  • May decline refund requests that violate this policy.

All approved subscription refunds are processed back to the original payment method.

Afritivity reserves the right to deny refund approvals that do not comply with this policy.


1.5 Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Used free trials
  • Failure to cancel before renewal
  • Downgrades
  • Unused features
  • Account suspension due to policy violations
  • Termination for breach of Terms
  • Chargebacks initiated without first contacting support

2. Marketplace Transaction Refund Policy

(Customer Purchases from Independent Vendors)

Afritivity is a multi-vendor marketplace platform.

For marketplace transactions:

  • Afritivity is not the seller of record.
  • FastSpring does not process Vendor product or booking payments.
  • Vendors use their own independent payment gateways.

All purchases made through Vendor listings are transactions solely between:

Customer and Vendor


2.1 Vendor Responsibility

Each Vendor is independently responsible for:

  • Setting their own refund policy
  • Handling cancellations
  • Managing disputes
  • Processing refunds
  • Delivering products or services

2.2 No Liability for Vendor Refunds

Afritivity:

  • Does not hold customer funds for Vendor transactions.
  • Does not process Vendor refunds.
  • Is not responsible for Vendor performance.
  • Is not liable for product quality, cancellations, damages, or dissatisfaction.

Customers must contact the Vendor directly for any refund, cancellation, or dispute.


2.3 Payment Disputes & Chargebacks (Vendor Transactions)

For Vendor purchases:

  • Any chargeback must be handled by the Vendor and their payment provider.
  • Afritivity bears no financial responsibility for Vendor chargebacks.
  • Vendors may face account suspension for excessive disputes.

3. Subscription Chargebacks (FastSpring Transactions)

For subscription payments processed by FastSpring:

  • Customers must contact Afritivity support before initiating a chargeback.
  • Unauthorised chargebacks may result in account suspension.
  • Fraudulent chargebacks may be disputed by FastSpring.

4. Platform Role Clarification

Afritivity is a technology platform that:

  • Provides marketplace infrastructure
  • Enables Vendor listings
  • Facilitates subscription access

Afritivity does not:

  • Act as Vendor agent
  • Guarantee Vendor performance
  • Assume liability for Vendor contractual obligations

5. Policy Modifications

Afritivity reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Updated versions will be posted on the platform.
